Kellee is a unique music group
dedicated to having fun!!
Kellee began playing in September 2002; The Bayview Duck
in Baycliff, Texas opened their doors and let us gather with our friends to
sing songs, drink beer and have a good time. Over the past 5 years the group
has changed and what began as trio, (Bill, Liz and Karla), playing the
breaks for Gypsy Fire grew into a four piece bundle of fun. When we talk about
Kellee in Texas we talk about an extremely tight group. Guitar and lead vocal,
Bill Lowery, loves playing for and audience that wants to sing along and have
fun. CO Magee brings a talent of feeling music and plays a mean dulcimer. He
also brings a bass and a wonderful bag of assorted instruments. You never know
what is going to come out. Liz Lowery plays dulcimer and vocals. She wanted to
learn to play an instrument and fell in love with the Dulcimer. "There isn't
anything easier to play or harder to master than the Dulcimer". Brenda Magee
brings a gift of Harmony that ties everything together. She is a natural
Dulcimer player that doesn't do to bad on the spoons either.
In 2007 Bill and Liz moved to Greenville South Carolina,
leaving their best friends behind. They didn't want to stop playing so the
search was on for a new pub to play in, we have added Kimball Trotter and his
wonderful bass to the Kellee family and shifted our style a
little.
